Our hair is a byproduct of our bones so it’s important to make sure that they are being nourished. This recipe uses sesame and almonds to help encourage beautiful and lustrous hair growth. Sesame seeds contain minerals such as calcium, magnesium, zinc, phosphorous and magnesium. Almonds are rich in monounsaturated fats, calcium and magnesium.
Ingredients
10 almonds (soaked overnight and peeled)
1 cup filtered water
2 oz toasted sesame seeds
1/8 tsp ground cardamom
1/8 tsp ground cinnamon
1/8 tsp ground cloves
1/8 tsp ground fennel seed
1/8 tsp ground ginger
1/8 tsp ground nutmeg
1 pinch freshly ground pepper
- Soak almonds over night. Peel. Add to blender with 1 cup water. Blend till smooth.
- Strain almond milk. Pour liquid into small sauce pan and bring to boil add remaining ingredients. Reduce to low. Simmer 5 mins.
- Let cool before adding liquid to the blender. Blend for 1 min.
- Pour into a glass. Add a pinch of cinnamon on top. Drink on an empty stomach. Add a little raw organic honey for sweetness. Enjoy!
